Crowdscan's sensor technology produces continuous measurements on the number of people in the areas being sensed. This data is extremely valuable to monitor crowds and provide insights, for example related to safety and efficiency. Crowdscan was looking for an easy platform to bring the data to live for their end users. The challenge is to provide both spatial and temporal insights, in real-time and for historic analysis.

The challenge
The solution
Crowdscan chose the xyzt.ai platform as it provides direct support for spatial time series data. This means, the areas that are monitored, whether indoor or outdoor can be easily defined in the platform, time series data of the crowd measurements can be easily and continuously ingested using the REST API and dashboards can be configured for their different customers. These dashboards provide real-time insights in an easy to understand way using maps and charts, and can be used to dive deep and perform historic analysis.
Below is a high-level architecture on how Crowdscan integrates the xyzt.ai platform in their solution.
"Working with xyzt.ai is such a win-win. We capture real-time series data with our sensors and by using the xyzt.ai analytics tool, we can make the data intuitive for our customers to understand. We can spatially visualize the data, learn about the different segmentations, and we can create data dashboards to combine it with our own. This combination of having a go-to tool that we can use internally as well as externally to show our data to customers is very important for us.", Ben Bellekens, CEO & Co-Founder Crowdscan
Results
Thanks to the embedding of the xyzt.ai platform and thanks to the ability to create dashboards and share those dashboards with their customers, Crowdscan can now provide not just the hardware and the sensor data, but also easy visualizations and analytics on the data.
